Our Charleston office lobby has a new addition: the WesBanco West Side Spend Smart Challenge, an interactive financial literacy game. Made possible through WesBanco’s generous support and their ongoing commitment to financial education for children and families, the game was created to engage kids and adults alike.

The game, unveiled during April’s Financial Literacy Month, is designed to spark conversation and reflection around spending, saving, and making thoughtful financial choices. Through play, the WesBanco West Side Spend Smart Challenge supports confidence, curiosity, and long‑term financial wellbeing.

The game invites players to step onto a colorful path, representing LAWV’s West Side neighborhood, designed by our creative neighbors at Echo-Lit. Participants begin with $100 and move through a series of everyday spending decisions at local businesses. Each player encounters real-life financial scenarios and must weigh their choices in keeping with the goal of finishing their journey with at least $20 in savings.

Through thoughtful design and strong community partnerships, we are creating more than just a legal office; we are building a space that recognizes the realities our clients face and offers tools, resources, and moments of empowerment for families.
