Make an Out-of-This-World Impact
Step into Legal Aid of West Virginia’s (LAWV) statewide headquarters in Charleston and you’ll discover a vibrant, space-themed mural filled with imaginative, friendly creatures.

This one-of-a-kind artwork is the result of a collaboration between the City of Charleston and LAWV. Under the guidance of Jeff Pierson, Director of Charleston’s Office of Public Art, each character began as a design by a child and was reimagined by local artists. The mural is a celebration of creativity, community, and the power of imagination.
You can take part in the story and make a difference.

Each of the mural’s seven unique creatures has been turned into a collectible sticker, and the set can be yours for a donation of $30 (this includes postage & handling).
Create your own out-of-this-world mural at home, school, or work.
Every sticker set purchased supports LAWV’s Lawyer in the School (LIS) program, which provides free legal assistance to West Virginia students and their families directly in their local schools.
“Legal challenges can disrupt a child’s ability to learn and thrive,” explains Kate White, Executive Director of LAWV. “Through Lawyer in the School, we remove those barriers so children can focus on being students—and just being kids.”
