Are you behind on utility bills from March 1- July 31, 2020? If you lost your job, made less money, or had problems paying your utility bills because of COVID-19, West Virginia just created a new program that may be able to help you with past due electric, natural gas, water or sewer bills from March 1-July 31, 2020.

To be eligible for this financial help, you will need to complete and submit an application. Your utility companies should be sending out applications soon.  Watch out for mail from your utility companies.  If you do not get a paper application and want one, call your utility company to ask for one.

The applications must be received by your utility company no later than November 12, 2020.  Contact your utility company if you have questions about how to fill out the form.

If you need help with utility bills for other months or for other reasons, the Public Service Commission may be able to help you set up payment plans.   Contact the PSC at 1-800-344-5113.
