Legal Aid of WV’s Charleston office is moving!

As of November 22, 2024, we will be closed to walk-ins in our Charleston office. We will be taking clients by appointment only until our new office space is ready in Spring 2025.

Here’s what that means:

For Clients
Clients will need to follow our application process by calling 866-255-4370 or using our online application. If you already have an attorney/advocate at LAWV, you can contact them directly to find out where to take paperwork, set up appointments, etc. We will not have a walk-in option for clients until our new space is ready.

For Community Partner Agencies
If you refer clients to LAWV, you will follow the same process, but you can contact us at 304-343-3013 ext. 2110 to set up appointments for clients or get information on how to send a referral, if needed.

For Contacting Us
Receiving Mail
We will start receiving mail at our new address through the post office. If you share LAWV’s address or mail us documents or products, please update your address on file to:
123 Washington St. W
Suite 101
Charleston, WV 25302.

Keep in mind, we will not be at this address until Spring 2025, so this is for mail only. There will not be staff at this address to handle deliveries, walk-ins, etc.

Receiving Phone Calls
There will be no change to our intake application line at 866-255-4370 or Charleston staff office phone numbers and extensions.

When our grand opening date is set, you’ll be hearing more from us, as we hope to celebrate our new space with you!
